Painted steel, leatherette
Delightfully patinated original condition
Fully useable
Designed in the early 20th century as a chair that could be easily stowed aboard that recent invention called the automobile, the Buffington Folding Chair has a wonderful eccentricity about it. Its patented mechanism shares little with subsequent folding chair designs, looking more like an obscure experiment by a French architect than the chairs one is used to encountering at, say, a church social. This pair is in original condition.
