Nina Karasek (1883 - ?), known by the pseudonym Joele, was a female artist from Bohemia who lived in Vienna during the first half of the 20th century. She studied at the Frauenakademie in Vienna and Munich. At first a landscape painter and an illustrator, she later turned toward symbolism, painting mystical subjects after her interest in spiritualism.
