Pierre Guariche (1926 – 1995) was trained under the pioneering French modernist Rene Gabriel at the School of Decorative Arts in Paris. Guariche quickly developed his own modern style and developed the first molded plywod chair in France. He is widely known for his lighting and furniture designs for Airborne, Steiner, Huchers-Minvielle, Disderot and Luminalite.
